You may want to look over and edit the script before running it in case some of the steps are/aren't needed. For instance, you may need to uncomment and tweak the first line if the nand flash drivers aren't loaded yet on your board. If you suspect you still have a working root filesystem you may also want to comment out the parts dealing with untarring the root filesystem so as to save a lot of time. The steps of the script are: 1. Load the module for the nand flash. (Commented out because this is not usually necessary on a working board) 2. Copy the MBR to the flash 3. Copy the kernel to the first partition on the flash 4. Copy the initial ramdisk (initrd) to the second partition on the flash 5. Erase the third partition of the flash Create a temporary directory Mount the third partition of the flash on that directory (as yaffs) Unpack the sarge tarball run an MD5sum on everything to make sure everything unpacked ok unmount the flash If any of the commands has an error, the script will terminate.
